Happy October! For those who don’t know, National Orthodontic Health Month. This month-long event is organized by our pals at the American Association of Orthodontists, or AAO. Drs. Roger Nettune, Kenneth Banasiak, and our team realize this is a great opportunity for us and to raise awareness about the importance of oral hygiene. National Orthodontic Health Month also aims to recognize the dedicated work of orthodontists like Dr. Nettune, Dr. Banasiak, and other dental professionals in the Basking Ridge, Mendham and Bedminster areas. Dr. Nettune and Dr. Banasiak will tell you that anyone, at any age, can benefit from orthodontic treatment, whether it’s correcting a problem not treated in your younger years, or catching a problem early. To ensure the best overall treatment, the American Association of Orthodontists, or AAO, recommends that children receive an orthodontic consultation as early as age seven. Meet Dr. Nettune:I enjoy being a part of the community as much as I enjoy serving my community. I love sports, and for many years, I was active as a basketball coach for a local high school team. Prior to this, I coached CYO basketball. As a sponsor of community Little League and soccer teams, I offer custom sport mouthguards to all of the athletes free of charge. I believe in supporting local schools and each year I am happy to present a scholarship award to graduates of Ridge High School, Mendham High School and Bernardsville High School.
